Re: marine Alfa engines?
I recall reading something about a boat racing formula in Europe which used
the twincam engines. I believe the engines were used exclusively in the
series, somewhere in the early 1970's. The hulls were tunnel hull
'hydroplane' designs in timber ply.
I also recall a Pininfarina (I think) boat design which used an Alfa engine
but I don't know if it was ever launched or if it was simply a styling
exercise. Is this boat in the Arese museum ? Maybe it was displayed during
the recent Alfa museum exhibition in the UK.
I've also heard that there are a few marinised 2600 (106) engines still
around.
Sorry I'm not of more help, just a few faded memories to rely on.
