Re: alfa-digest V9 #651--? about wooden steering wheels

I can refinish it for ya, Fred--but you could put a new top coat on IF the finish now is in an acceptable state to receive a finish, ie, no cracking, crazing or worn all the way through the stain to bare wood spots. What did you clean it with? I can suggest a # of different ways to go--or i would be glad to take it on, what being a former Central Coast member and all...

Subject: ? about wooden steering wheels

Need advise on cleaning and polishing of an Alfa "Personal" wooden three
spoke steering wheel. Just bought one from a friend. It is actually in
good shape. No dings or pits in the wood. Was a bit grungy, but that
cleand up well. The wood finish is really flat! I don't want to use a
wood polish because it will be slick! Any suggestions?
Also, does anyone have a recomendation for someone that refinishes them?

Thx ,
