Motorcycle transport - There is Alfa content

Many Digesters seem to also be riders so here is the issue.  I need to
transport a Yamaha R6 2-3 times a year to North Carolina (from Maryland about
300 miles).  Has anyone installed a trailer hitch on a 164 with success.  Are
there small trailers that could be used to transport a bike of this size.
Other options or approaches that have worked for you.
