Spica Burbling

Esteemed Digesti,
Mr. Wong just ignited a past memory of Days Gone By, when as a design student
at North Carolina State, I had a black 77 spider with Spica Iniezione. There
was this down hill drive into the School of Design parking lot. It was
bracketed by these two slab-sided classroom buildings. A quick upshift into third,
foot off the accelerator; that lovely burble was just music as it reverberated,
captive between the exterior walls of that narrow access. Clutch, a little
throttle, engage second, declutch, and the resulting melody was just ecstasy.
There has not been enough said about the Spica and the sweet and mellow exhaust
tone it produces. There is a long-time Alfa mechanic in the area that always
remarks about the sound of a Spica injected Alfa at full note: he says if
you're standing next to one that's perfectly tuned on the dyno, it's quite an
experience. Spica injection is awesome, so word-up you Weber-heads.
