Shredded Shroud, Broken Fan, Motor Mount?

I finally got around to buying a new fan blade and shroud for my 85 Spider.
The old one has been broken for some time and recently the fan finally flew
apart. After changing the parts it seems the new fan blade is touching the new
shroud exactly where the old shroud shredded. The radiator is positioned
correctly but something else seems strange. The driver side of the engine is
slightly lower than the passenger side. I looked at the motor mount and I
don't see any cracks of obvious breaks. So my questions are: how do I know if
the mount is bad? or could it simply be out of position? can it be adjusted?
also if the mount needs to be changed,  is changing the mount a big job? When
running the engine does not jump around even under throttle.
