Milano A/C compressor groan

Hi Guys,

If the A/C compressor groans when the clutch engages, is it the sign of
a bad clutch bearing? If yes, has anyone replaced it? If no, what part
of the A/C is making that noise? Is it compressor itself needing
replacement?

This is for a Milano.
