re: THREE Hooke's joints in a driveshaft?

Lots of trucks, from small pickups to rather large vehicles have two
piece driveshafts with three simple universal joints and more or less
equal length driveshaft halves.  My guess is that geometry change
through normal suspension movement in these applications isn't great
enough to cause a problem.
