RE: fuel pump replacements
Terry -
If your car has a 2 port fuel pump (I'm Pretty sure that a '74 does) then
yes, you can use a fuel pump from a later ('82-89) car with L-jet. You may
need to put some rubber around it so it will fit the bracket as the new pump
maybe slightly smaller in diameter.
Other than that, it is pretty much plug and play, just pay attention to the
polarity of the electrical connections ... Pink from the car is +12, the
terminals on the pump are marked.

Jeff

Subject: fuel pump replacements
On the way home from a wonderful AONE event today, the
fuel pump on my '74 Spider decided to die. Luckily it
did so about a mile from home. Question: will the
[less expensive] pumps from the Bosch Spiders work on
the Spica cars? If not, has anyone found a suitable
replacement from NAPA, etc.?
Thanks,
Terry
