Milano oil consumption

My 3.0 Milano has an insatiable thirst for oil.  I was using a quart every 
300 miles when I sent the heads out to Sperrys and did one of their Stage 3 
jobs.  I was still using oil (1 quart every 500-600) miles so I had the botton end 
done with new liners and Hi comp pistons.  I had this done locally by a shop 
I trust.  Oil is still in the 5-600 miles per quart area.  
Whats wrong? I have S cams, BMW air flow meter. Everything else stock.  Any 
ideas welcomed!
