RE: Trailing arms removal on Spider?
Trailing arms are easy, no special tool required.
As always, you're dealing with the spring forces so be careful! But
basically you should be able to do the following.
Put the back of the car way up on jackstands under the rear jacking
points.
Put a floor jack under the trailing arm to support it.
Unbolt the bottom of the shock
Unbolt the trailing arm at the axle
Lower the jack slowly to release tension on the spring.
Remove the spring
Unbolt the front of the trailing arm
Install the new arm and installation is just the reverse.
No special tools needed, just be careful as always with the car up on
jack and the springs under tension.
Cheers,
Ian Lomax
