Assumming it is the 2L T-spark
 has the camshaft vriator and balnce belts been seen too
 There was  arecall on the brake master cylinder - has that been done?
 Check the very trick rear suspension for bush wear.
 Plus all the normal things - Spark Plugs (all Eight come to near 100 GBP!)
  service History, tear wear - tracking etc.
 First and reverse gear straigt cut and can have grief given to them.
 Check all indictaor lights perform as per handbook
