RE: CARIBOU OUT OF BUSINESS
I ordered a small part (a little toy for myself: wood-grain brake
handle), from Caribou on April 19, and did not hear from them...their
website-stated shipping policy stated about 10 days shipping from Calif. to NJ......called
and left messages on answering machine twice, finally i was able to reach
them thru e-mail, which is not on any of their ads, but i found e-mail add. in
back-issue of the Digest....I got a very stressed-out reply from Caribou fellow,
stating he was the only one working there, and it was a Sunday, and his wife &
Kids were enjoying themselves in Disneyland, and he had a heart condition,
and he couldnt spend time with his family on a Sunday as he had to take care of
the business.....said his cardiologist said his heart was about to "explode."

I replied that I was sorry, and that he should pay more attention to
his health and family than that orders are taken care of.
He never answered my question as to when I was going to get the part,
so I sent a reply asking this again, found out it is ordered from Italy. This
was never mentioned before this. Said the part is expected in: "2-3
weeks."
From "Italy?"---2 to 3 weeks? 2-3 weeks from when?
It sounds like, with all these other order problems, that it was just
another case of "the dog ate my homework."
