Joe, are you certain the roof is leaking around the gasket ?  It could be a
leak from the drain hose connection.

PS1:  I too hate unnecessarily electrified equipment on motor vehicles.

PS2: I've heard that 2003 is the 20 year anniversary of the cupholder !
