Alfa Spider auto trans
The automatic transmission used in the spiders is a ZF 3HB22, three speed.
This is basically the same unit used in earlier BMW's.
Has anyone driven one? I've driver mine for about 200,000 miles now. I had to
have to rebuilt at about 181,000 miles, and this was after Solo racing it for
four years and power braking into corners to keep the torque converter loaded
up so it would come out of the corners faster.

Subject: Alfa Spider auto trans
I recall seeing a early 90's Spider with an auto trans at an area autoshow
in about 1994. I just rememebered seeing this car and am curious if Alfa
used a three or four speed automatic. Also, does anyone know who
manufactured the transmission. Has anyone driven one, if so how did it
drive? I'm not really interested in such a car but am curious none the less.
