My only experience with the super sucker by Zat was negative. BIG but
here though, I bought a Verde with the Super sucker and the fast back
cats already installed and Ansa tail section. According to the PO the
Super sucker worked great until it was touched by the local (to the PO)
alfa mechanic who was trying to make it pass NY state emissions.
Apparently they screwed it up and it was definitely down on power. My
mechanic (very well known in NJ area) never got it to work right and
ended up sourcing a stock one which gave me much better results.
I didnt like the intake sound of it either. I believe the afm was from
a Ford originally. When I called Zat up about it they said I should
send it back for adjustment as they are set to pass emissions in NY and
should not be a problem. As I said, I wasnt impressed with the intake
sound and the fact it came from a Ford so I didnt send it back. I
understand the BMW derived one is better though.
Again, my experience was after it had been messed with but I wasnt happy
with what I was seeing and hearing. Twin cats were nice and the car
definitely breathed better by my seat of the pants feel vs. my brothers
stock platinum with identical Ansa tail pipe.
Good luck,
Antonio
