this may not be your clutch at all. i occasionally
experience similar problems, and believe they are due
to improper combustion - i.e. dirty plugs. my
temporary solution is (till i send my injectors out
for cleaning) to advance the ignition timing from
stock settings and run premium fuel (oh, i have a
2.5L). if your problem is identical to mine, you will
be able to let off the gas (w/o clutching)
momentarily, then gently roll back on with no
shuddering. you might also try running a few bottles
of techron through if this turns out to be the
problem, though it's unlikely to get it to disappear
altogether.

timing to diagnose the problem was his)
