Re: steering wheel centering
You guys are right and I blew it. The first time in my life I have been
wrong. Thought I was wrong once before, but was only mistaken ;-)
Anyhow, if the gentleman did spin his steering wheel lock to lock and back
exactly half way, he should have found his steering wheel exactly centered so:
On to step 2. Get an alignment.

On a Duetto or other 750 through 115 car, you can't reposition the steering
wheel on the shaft; it is a taper fit with a Woodruff key and will fit only
one way. 116 and later cars have splines that allow repositioning.
If the steering wheel is 30 degrees off on a Duetto or other such car, the
alignment is way out, the track/tie rods are way off, or something's wrong
in the steering box setup, such as the drop link being on the splines wrong.
Normally that doesn't get changed or adjusted though.
