Fair price? - used 2L spider engine

Hi all,
What is a fair price for a used 2000 engine for a spider?  This engine has NOT
been heard running, but instead relies on someone's good word.  How about a
corresponding 5spd transmission?

For that matter, does anyone on the list have a good 2000 or 1750 engine for
sale?  Is there any reason (besides fuel delivery and power) that a 1750 or
1500 couldn't be used in a later spider?
