Dan, a Milano has a different setup to a 75.  The fan especially is a lot
easier to pull on a Milano.

I have a RHD 75TS and the heater cable is quite accessible without removing
the dash, although I have done that task as well.

If the LHD and RHD 75s are similar just move the centre console to the rear,
then pull the heater dial control panel  far enough to get in behind it.
You will see the cable and the small clamp holding it in place.

If you are concerned about re-routing the new cable, tape the end of it to
the old cable before pulling it thru from the heater tap end.

please let me know if this works OK on a LHD car.
