I enjoyed Fred's competent replies always very much, and had also offline some pleasant correspondence with him. I feel sad but I hope that he wil be together with his beloved wife again (which he missed very much, I think). Although I never met him personally I believe that the Alfa loving community has lost again an Icon. 
Fred I hope that they beamed your Alfa's also up there..
