1979 Spider advice

Facing a long restoration job before I'll be driving my 65 spider and 
was tempted the other day by possible purchase of a 1979 Spider.
Has new tires, new paint (OK, but not great), new seat covers. Needs 
new top, old one is gone completely. Odometer shows 68k, which may or 
may not be correct. Body seems solid, no rust in floors. Dash, 
instrument panel and console in pretty sorry shape. It has the Spica 
fuel injection. Dealer who has the car professes to know nothing else 
about it other than that person who traded it to him more than a year 
ago had started the fixing up, hence the tires, seat covers etc., but 
obviously had not finished before trading it to him for another car...
This one has not been driven, but has been started off and on, 
apparently, for the last couple of years. Started right up and idled 
fairly smoothly when I went by to see it. Did not drive it. Owner says 
brakes had been rebuilt awhile back, but that booster no longer works. 
Doesn't know why.
Have not checked it out any further yet.
Wondering what the good, bad and ugly about this particular model might 
be for those more familiar with them. My last extensive experience with 
Alfas goes back to when my Giulia was running more than 20 years ago...
Thanks for any ideas on particular things to look for, strengths or 
weaknesses of this model...
