Bagging parts (was: re: GTV 6 Restoration)

Richard Welty mentioned (and others seconded) the convenience of ziplock bags
for small-parts storage and identification in restoration projects.

I concur, but with a possible upgrade: my local office supply 'big box'-type
store (Office Depot, but others should be as good) offers bulk packs (100 per
bag) in convenient sizes (2" x 3", 3" x 5", 4" x 6", etc) in a slightly
heavier weight (2 mil) with a frosted matte-white write-on panel on one side,
at a lower unit-cost than the grocery store kitchen supplies. I find the 3 x 5
most useful most of the time, but YMMV. I also keep a stack of
appropriate-sized file cards to slip in with the parts with application notes,
part numbers, or anything else, so do not normally use the write-on panel, but
it is there if you want it, and accepts pencil or pen as well as Richard's
'Sharpie' marker.

The same sources offer various sizes of cardboard tags with string loops which
are handy for some cases which the bags don't serve, like similar parts saved
off two or more parts-cars.
