glass fuel filter bowl gasket

Here's one that has me stumped:
I'm still trying to get my recently acquired 66 Super to run for the first
time in who-knows-how-many years, and one of the items that needs attention
is the glass fuel filter/pressure regulator.
First i managed to break the glass bowl in trying to pry it off it's base in
order to get at the filter (since replaced), but what also needs replacement
and is apparently NLA is the rubber gasket ring that seals the glass bowl to
the base.
Has anyone found a workable substitute for this part?  My old one is beyond
hope, utterly dried out and deformed and leaks like a sieve.
