I don't post much anymore. My interest is more in the newer Alfas. And seeing how the 164 now become worthless (although only financially speaking)doesn't help.
I just wanted to recall the posting that Fred made about the exploding distributor rotor on the 164. And how it actually happened to me on the night of the 30th December 1999, en route to Canada. 
I am thankfull for his advice and sorry I never got to meet him.
