Re: Unlocking Steering Column

Dick,
Unsure about a 115/105, but on an Alfetta you remove the column cowls and
drill/ezy-out the stud which locks the ign barrel to the column.

They often work loose so you may be able to tap it out with a pin-punch and
hammer, or if the head is proud, cut a groove with a hacksaw and use a
common screwdriver.

Let me know if this works ((for future reference))

Subject: Unlocking Steering Column

I just acquired another Alfa that I spotted sitting in a field. The
owner had good intentions of restoring it, but just never got around to
it. It's a 71 GTV that has a locking steering column, and the keys are
long gone. I am going to pick it up with a tow bar I made up that
replaces the front bumper. What's the best way to unlock the column
with the least amount of damage.
