The first year for Spider electronic speedometer was 1986, I beleive.
My 1985 has a mechanical speedometer and I have a full Shop Manual
for the '85 which shows an electronic speedometer. '86 was also the
year that the Spider replaced the dual hooded instruments (tach &
speedo) with the single hooded panel.
