164 and 75 clutch issues (Jeff & Luca )
Jeff's 164 will not disengage the clutch enough to let him put it in gear
with the engine on and Luca's is almost as bad.
Jeff - you need to check for fluid loss by looking in the reservoir and
checking the level.
Otherwise it is likely to be a seal either in the master or slave cylinder
has gone bad, or even the hose has developed a "balloon" which is taking up
the fluid.
Luca mentioned that the clutch is noisy when pressed. Sounds like the
release (throw out in USAian) bearing is on the way out and should be
replaced along with the rest of the clutch pack.
