RE: V6 timing belt, the well worn subject...



Actually, the cam drives are set up on the V6, you do not need to remove the
belt to R&R the cams.

You just need to split the cam sprockets remove the inner portion, and you
can then remove the cams while leaving the large sprockets and belt in
place.

To answer the original question, not much really. You'll need to remove the
accessory belts, drain the cooling system, and remove the belt covers.

i don't see how you can do the cams w/o taking the belt off and putting it
back on. at that point, the labor cost is dominant and you're crazy not to
do the whole shooting match all at once.
