Ralph,
the 2000 GTVs certainly did come with glue in windshields.
the older GTs used rubber gaskets. i am not sure when Alfa
changed over.
the sheetmetal window frame of the cars is the same, but the
glass is slightly different. when replacing the windshield, it is
popular to retrofit to the old gasket style glass and rubber. but
the proper aluminium trim ( yours is stainless steel and wont
work ) is nearly as expensive as the glass.
i just went this route on my GTV.
