Scott-

The trim you want to take off is not attached like the GTV trim as has been stated.  There are several clips along the bottom of the frame which hold it and the back of the cowl in place.  To remove the trim take out the two screws on the ends and then pull the trim forward (start at one end).  Don't lift up, just pull forward toward the front of the car.
