RE: 74 GTV Alignment settings

If you have a stock 74, the camber is not adjustable. The manual lists the
range of acceptable values.

For modified cars with adjustable upper camber rods, -0.5 deg camber is a
good place to start with a street car. Too much more negative camber will
cause uneven tire wear.

I remember unsuccessfully looking for a decent alignment tool to use at home
when I was rebuilding the GTV suspension. Mike Valant had a really nice
Snap-On alignment tool (machine?) that fixes to the wheel and can measure
caster & camber that he showed me when I bought the GTV. I don't know if
things like that are not made anymore or simply too rare & expensive, but I
ended up taking the car to a good alignment shop after the rebuild. Just
finding a shop that can do an alignment to your spec instead punching the
make/model into an alignment computer isn't easy these days...

Good luck,
