clutch bleeding

Hello to all,
 
I posted this question a couple months ago and got no response, so I decided
to try again.
The fluid in my clutch system has been there for at least four years and I
think it's time to replace it.
My question is, can I do a "gravity bleed" like you can do with brakes? Or
do you need to pump the fluid through?
It's difficult for me to get a loaner foot to pump pedals when I do stuff
like this.
