Track Tires

People have mentioned both Hoosier and Kumho tires, but my favorite is the 
Toyo Proxies RA1. The Toyo must be shaved to 4/32, but it has twice the 
life of the Kumhos and is just as fast, but much more consistent. The 
Hoosier is the fastest of the tires mentioned, but they have a life span 
of only two weekends at best. I use between 6-8 tires an average season 
with 10 race weekends and a six hour endurance race ~ about 20+ track 
hours a set. When my endurance co-driver was going through his first 
season, he locked up and abused the tires - no flat spots. Good Luck.
