Stebro vs Ansa
Just my two cents about Ansa,
The black paint on Ansa exhaust pieces is SHIPPING paint. It flakes off
and disintegrates almost immediately. Same with the "cool" red tape stripe
that separates the chrome from the black crinkle. I had a new Ansa on my
first Alfa and hated it. Cheap nasaly sound that was louder but not
better sounding than stock. I haven't had the opportunity to listen to a
Stebro but I sure like the idea of all stainless construction. My Duetto
sounds fantastic with a stock system I purchased from AR Ricambi. It's
mostly Cisam and one Ansa piece ( not the rear section ). I have a Ansa
rear section on my 74 GTV that I will be giving away as soon as I decide on
a replacement. Not only do those twin tips not fit the cutout in the
bodywork, but the turned up style soils the left taillight and probably
contributes to exhaust being sucked into the car.
One of the best sounding Alfas I've owned was my Milano gold with a hole in
the muffler ( don't remember which one ). I used to drive along in first
gear at 6000 rpm just to hear that note !!!!
Wow, that little rant felt good !!
Ciao !
