This one puzzles me a a bit, dodn't the 2002 have a single cam head and
MacPhersons as opposed to the GTV's Twin Cam and Double A-Arm setup.
How exactly was a 2002 more advanced.
Eric's points about cars being just a business are all right on the money,
but frankly if that was the way everyone thought we'd all be driving open
wheeled, wood rimmed, leaf sprung carts that we had to crank each morning.
It is IMHO, the RESPONSIBILITY of Engineers and Designers to prove there is
a better way. The Public always has resisted change and will always. That
doesn't mean, however that it is always the best tact to leave well enough
alone.
Also Bob K's Point about A/T and low end torque and Top end with Manual
shifters was a good one
