RE : 74 GTV Gauge color

Dan,

i've never seen a new GTV's gauges, but every one i've seen,
including mine and a replacement, have been flat dark grey.

mine light up just fine - and i like my gauges bright, unlike most
people who seem to like them dimmed.  you might want to check
the bulbs for age.  they plug into the back of the guage cluster.  
if the bulbs look darkened, replace them.  heck, replace them 
anyway.  if the gauges are still too dark, maybe its your dimmer 
switch . . .
just remember, they won't light up, christmas tree style, like
a modern backlit display.
