Hi Don:

You're right about it being an ignition part.  Jacobs made a system by that 
name in the early 90's, but it's been so long since I've seen one, I can't 
remember any details.  A friend had one on a Jeep CJ7, and I think the 
system had a magnetic trigger in the distributor and it's own coil, 
too.  Not sure how you'd fit one into the ignition on a 164, or if you'd 
want to.  A Google search would probably result in some more useful info.
