SPICA NOS

If you can belive it, I considered NOS on our 2002 Challenge car originally. It would have been a very cheap way to get quite a bit more power... While I was looking into it, I called Wes about the ability of the cold start injector to supply the fuel for the NOS (which would make installation pretty easy).

As it turned out, the cold start injector is quite capable of adding a lot of fuel at once. The problem was that the solenoid would overheat quickly, and then break. I think that is solveable, as you could put a simple water jacket around it to cool it.

How much NOS you could throw in is to be determined.

One other issue that I didn't look into was ignition- do you retard it, how much, and do you need extra energy to lite that off... Solvable, I'm sure.

I'm surprised that the guy with NOS was allowed on the autocross course- its not exactly legal to have it there....
