Title laundering

One company (in Alabama) advertises extensively in automotive publications and
can replace a "lost" title. I've never used them, but if I were a devious type
who wanted to launder a salvage title into a clean one, I'd start here:

Now, as to whether the title would still show up as "salvage" on carfax is
another story. Maybe the seller of the car in question bought the car with a
laundered title and never knew...
