Industrial grade oil filters (cannister style !!) , such as those meant for
BIG refrigeration compressors, are available with ratings as good as 3
microns (3 x 10^-6 meters). I doubt that many automotive oil filters come
within a factor of 5 of that small a particle size rating, but I suspect
that even trying to find a mfgr. who will PUT such a rating on their
filters would be a bit of an adventure !!
