Fuel Storage

Here's a question..  how long does it take for a tank of gas to start to 
go bad?  Assume So CA late summer/early fall to now weather.. (80's to 50's)

I've had the Spider in non-running condition, with I think about half a 
tank of gas, for a couple months now.  I'm thinking I should have done 
something with it..  added that Stabil stuff I've heard about, or 
something else, or just syphoned it out into our other cars.

It's probably too late for gas treatment, (is it?) would slowly diluting 
 semi-bad gas into our other cars tanks be a good way of disposal?
