If the pads and rotors are really OK, then the noise is probably caused by
high-frequency vibration of the pads against the brake caliper pistons.  Buy
some brake quiet goo like Wurth DBQ2200, IAP has it, or try your local Euro
car parts store, you may find a cheaper brand too.

Put your car on jackstands and pull off the wheels.  Pull your brake pads
and put the goo on the back.  Maybe just go ahead and put in new pads,
you're already under there and have all the wheels off.  Put pads back in,
drive in blessed silence.

This is what your mechanic is going to do for your $85.  You'll do it for
about $20 if you don't buy new pads.  Alfa brake pads are simple to remove
and install, if you can get the car up on jackstands and take off the
wheels, you have the skills.
