Hi Tim,
Generally speaking, for on-road use tire chains are only recommended for the
2 drive wheels (in off-road situations you might do all 4 wheels on a 4WD
vehicle). Cable "chains" are treated the same as actual "chain" chains by
the enforcers. Cable chains don't provide quite as much grip, but work
better where clearance is tight on the vehicle. Be aware that with any
chains on, you probably should not try to go faster than about 40 mph.
