What a crock this is. There are a lot of old cars that have survived
quite nicely in the PNW thanks to our mild climate & no use of salt on
the roads. If you thought your Alfa rusted fast with a bit of moisture
in the air, look out! I will avoid those areas mentioned like the
plague this winter. If I need to travel east for some reason, I'll take
the scenic route on Hwy.2.
Alfa content: How are 164s holding up in salt rich environments? They
are pretty much fully galvanized, & I'm sure with washing it frequently
in the winter they would not decay too quickly. Although, any amount of
decay is a major bummer.
