Spider for sale - Little Rock
My wife says 4 cars are too many (especially if 3 are mine) so in the
interests of domestic harmony I have decided to sell my spider. I find the
GTV-6 and BMW to be more my "style." I almost never drive the spider, and
the spider has some flaws.
About the car: it is a 1985 Spider Graduate, white, black vinyl, Daytona
wheels (clearcoat has faded.) On a 100 point scale I'll give it 70~75. It
has its good points and its bad, overall it is a good car. To the details:
New, generic Wal-Mart tires (I didn't do it...) 195x60.
Steering is loose, probably tie rods.
Heat shield on exhaust header is loose and rattles.
Ventilation fan will barely turn, pretty sure it't not the switch.
Paint and clearcoat is good, but there are a few spots to watch.
Foam on driver's seat is a little flat (vinyl inside is good)
Panasonic radio, but the display disco lights like a Milano.
Top is okay.
Rust:
A little on the lower rear valence
A spot on the right-side next to the hood
The lower spoiler hit a concrete "parking stop" (again, PO)
And the worst: the tranny pops out of reverse.
Given that I'm not a checkbook mechanic, these fixes would nickel and dime
me to death. I'd rather it go to another club member who can fix her up.
It's really too good a car to part out, and I won't sell it to anybody for
use as a parts car.
I'm going to list it on other sources soon, but I want to give club members
a shot first, and at a lower price. I paid $1600 for the car, I'll sell it
for the same to an AROC or ARA member (but you have to arrange transport.)
For a good steak, I might even dicker...
If you're interested, please email me or call. I'll have digital photos in
a couple of days or less. Home number: 501-834-7628. Cell: 501-416-7665.
