Wheel and tire weights

Compare apples to apples. If you replace your stock wheels with good 
quality after market alloys of the same size you will save weight. The 
point  is that generally if you go plus one or two sizing using the same 
quality tires and wheels you will increase unsprung weight because tires 
are generally lighter than wheels. If you pay enough for the wheels you 
might possibly lose a little more weight when going up in size as very 
expensive alloys tend to be lighter than tires. Generally speaking, wheels 
gain more weight than you lose in the tire size change.
