The WD of Wd-40 is not water dispersant, it is water displacing, as in, it
will displace water on the surface of metal. It will not, to my knowledge,
disperse water. In large enough quantities it may emulsify water. Why not
open it up and check it out.

for Annie O's transmission. CRC also makes a couple of similar
products, 6-66 Marine electrical contact cleaner/drier being my
favorite.
