Fw: Newbie checks out GTV - Documents findings...



Just to be clear -- this is a great looking car, at least in the pics.  I'm
not criticizing the car or the owner, just asking the obvious questions (OK,
and questioning the price, assuming the one I noted in my original response
was correct).

Also, a thought on your comment about the noise the car makes while
accelerating -- the stock air box is a pretty effective muffler, and with
those open air filters, the intake is LOUD!  On my car, with 2.5 inch
exhaust and a Magnaflow muffler, the intake is louder than the exhaust under
full throttle.  That's likely the noise you are noticing, and replacing the
stock air box will eliminate most of it without any penalty to performance.
I like how the K&N-style filters look, and I kinda like the intake noise,
but that's just (extroverted, juvenile) personal preference.
