Giulia clutch question



Bob,
       The workshop manual for the 85 spider also calls for a wear limit 
thickness of 6 mm.  The lining material I have been using for relining clutch 
disks is 4 mm.  That would put the relined disk at about 4 + 4 + 1 or 9 mm.  
I am estimating that the steel plates in the center are one mm thick.
       So how do you measure the disk?  Squeeze the spring disks in the 
center together?  Or measure with the springs spreading the disk?  I vote for 
the former.
