true, although the rules in the euro touring car classes have been a bit
extreme in the past, rendering the category very expensive to run in (can
you say "manufacturer support"?). the brief experiment with rules in this
style in the US a few years back failed; the race i saw at Lime Rock was
fun, but the car count was way to small to make for good spectating as the
track was mostly empty.

as far as running "modern" Alfas in Production, limited prep corresponds a
bit with what folks like to do in their track cars -- bolt in a stiffer
suspension, heat up the motor with cams, pistons and webers, and drive.

caution about racing: incidents happen. if you can't afford to push your
car off of a cliff and walk away, you can't afford to race it. totaled race
cars are rare, but they do happen.

what i need to do is get a limited prep Alfetta Sedan listing in F prod.
